Little One Milestones

So, we can now say that Little One is walking! She has been taking 5-6 steps at a time for the last day or so. She now walks across our family room. Of course crawling is quicker and when she really wants or needs something that is what she does, but we are making progress.

We also know that she now weighs 20 lbs 1 oz... YEA! We unfortunately were in Urgent Care yesterday morning with Little one for a very bad cough. Afraid of the RSV situation we took her right in. Her oxygen was at 98% and her lungs were clear! Awesome! So, great checkup and gaining weight. The carnation instant breakfast in her milk and olive oil on her pasta is paying off!

Last milestone.... Little one got her first molar! It is huge! We can see the other 3 bulging through her gum lines but we have not gotten those yet... They are comin though!

Happy 14 month birthday tomorrow Little one!

Time to get serious

After the "fun" it was time to get real about what this holiday is all about... So, into our Sunday best we went and off to church. We had a very nice but crowded mass... the 2 older kids did great and Little One only had to leave 2 times (which is good for her). We actually went to our neighboring church, because our home church wanted to hold mass on our land where we are going to eventually build our church.... As much as I love our church, the idea of being out on the field with 3 kids under the age of 7 did not sound like it would give us the full experience of Easter mass. The funny thing was we ran into many people from our home church at our neighborning church. I think alot of other people had the same idea.

What a rabbit!

Boy did the Easter Bunny go overboard this year! The girls were very excited... Of course there was the family chocolate basket... I do not think the Bunny realized how much candy he had in his sack! Miss M had a blast with her basket... a new bathing suit and flip flops, a Hannah Montana CD, a new Judy Moody chapter book, and some pencils, and a Hannah pen and pad.. wow! Miss A also got a new bathing suit and flip flops and a Princess Look and find book, some pet shop charecters and a High School musical pen and pad. Little one walked away with a couple of new Baby Einstein books, Some Little People things and the new Air Bud movie.. snow buddies. What a morning... After baskets we walked outside and there were eggs everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!! He even put eggs on top of flowers, in trees, and on top of the hummingbird feeders! The kids had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easter eggs!

Our wonderful Easter started out with dying our Easter eggs. The last 2 years we have had Easter just us and it starts with dying Easter eggs the night before. We leave them out for the Easter Bunny to hide for us... he usually adds some of his own eggs too and it makes for a great hunt! The girls had a blast. Little One is working on her next molar and was not thrilled, but she did have fun with her dinner... which ended up more on her face them in her mouth!

Laundry, oh laundry!

Who would have thought the day would come when I would be so excited for a new washer and dryer... it has been a while coming... and we finally bit the bullet and made the purchase! This is our way of helping the economy! :-) This washer and dryer is more like a mini computer.. it is unreal. We got the LG Steam Clean for both the washer and the dryer.. it is so quiet, and I can already see the difference cleaning wise.

We decided to get the stackable so that we could save a ton of space in our laundry room. We have a contractor right now working on custom cabinets and shelving for the other side of the washer and dryer. He is also working on Mike's office. We decided it was time for Mike to get the desk unit he has been wanting. So, he is having one built that is exactly what he wants. L shaped desk with lots of shelves, cabinets, built in files, drawers etc... He is going to love it... And that major project of his office and the laundry room will be done. We will send pics when it is all complete.

Bed head

Little one's hair is growing fast! and it is never more apparent then when she wakes up from a nap or in the morning... here she is Saturday morning getting ready for breakfast. Happy girl with major bedhead!

A typical Miss A quote!

To quote Miss A when she was talking to Mum about soccer: "I did not score any goals, but I ate some really good snacks". Way to keep focused on the important things Miss A!

What a way to end the winter season...

Miss M scored her first goal in a soccer game this past Saturday, which was the last game of the Winter season. She shot it straight into the back of the goal and we are so proud of her... After a rough start she really stuck it out and practiced and listened to the directions and boy did it pay off. She is all registered for the Spring season, per her request. I am hoping the really hot temps will stay away until after the Spring season is all done!

Such big girls!

LITTLE ONE IS NOW 13 MONTHS OLD!
MISS A IS 4 1/2 YEARS OLD!
MISS M IS 7 YEARS OLD!

lots of things are happennin!

Now that we have Miss M's birthday news updated we have lots of other things happennin!

Little One is changing everyday.... She took a single step on her own last night and is standing by herself for longer periods... She is getting there! We also saw her first molar this morning. She was laughing and had her mouth open wide. We had a feeling she was teething again because of the fussiness and clamping her mouth shut whenever I tried to look... but it is there... the bottom right molar has popped through! We just signed Little One up for swimming lessons with her Daddy. They start in May and will continue through the beginning of July.

Miss A is keeping up busy as usual. She is doing so well with her music class and is really getting the hang of the notes and all that goes along with reading music. She has said she wantes to sign up again next year and that means actual piano... so, to start we are going to purchase a piano keyboard before we invest in a real piano. We are getting ready for Miss A's graduation from her preschool... I am sure I will be crying. This preschool has been a godsend for us. We literally found out we got into this school the first day the girls moved to AZ. Talk about fate! We have made so many good friends and has so many good times there with both Miss M and Miss A's classes! This summer Miss A has signed up for a day camp and swimming lessons. She is very excited about her visit to Disneyland for her 5th birthday. Because her birthday is in June we start celebrating in May with her "friend" party which this year she says she wants at McDonalds... I am not arguing... that one should be pretty easy on the purse straps and we can do it one day after school! Perfect! Then once Miss M is out of school we get to go to Disneyland! YEA!

Miss M is on Cloud 9 since her birthday. She has become quite the big girl wanting to spend more time with her friends and in her room with her music, books etc. She is doing so well in school and we are so prioud of her. Miss M is going into advanced stroke lessons at her swim school and will be on swim team this summer. She will also do some activities through the school district, but mostly wants to be with her friends!

I am sure summer is going to fly by,, even when it is 115+ degrees outside. We are going to try and take some road trips... plans are to go up north and see the Grand Canyon this summer. We also want to start researching all of Northern Arizona because in the next few years we would like to buy some property to build a house on. We are becoming quite focused on that goal.

The rest of spring will be busy with keeping up with the kids and their end of year activities. We are looking forward to a quiet Easter, a fun evening out with friends to see Bon Jovi and Daughtry, a few visits from MUM, and our cruise to the Carribean with the Tilghman's and Woofinden's.

Alot is happenning and we need to still find the time for Spring Cleaning! :-)

Happy Spring!
