Well, my last post saw me saying forget nutrition and just get something into Little One... The virus continued to progress and Little One was admitted to the hospital early Thursday morning. She was so dehydrated and exhausted... No matter what we gave her she would not take it... So, 3 IV bags and 1 injection of moriphine later we seemed better and were discharged from the hospital. The good thing about her being there was they tested everything.... so, we know her kidneys, liver, blood work, urinalysis etc are all totally normal... not one thing wrong that could come up on a test. I brought her home and ended back in Urgent Care with myself that night... same thing... not as severe as Little One but it gave me a whole new appreciation for her pain and discomfort... So, Little One was on a baby dose of vicodin like medication and I was on an adult dose of codeine and we are both making a full recovery... even starting to eat something. So, I am hoping this will be the worst of it... and as I say this I realize we are not even in cold and flu season! Awesome...
I have tons to update on this blog... will try to get to it later tonight... Just wanted to give you guys an update on our Little One.

FORGET NUTRITION!
The downside to activities
So, with Miss A and Miss M in school all day I was so excited to be able to finally do somethings with just Little One. We got ourselves signed up for a baby gym class that she LOVES and a baby music class that she is having a blast in as well. Daddy-O got her signed up for Daddy and Daughter swim lessons and we were on our way to giving Little One all these new experiences.
Two weeks into it and she is sicker than a dog... High fever, ear infections and lesions all in her mouth and down her throat. On Saturday a trip to the Urgent Care found the lesions. No reason to be concerned said the doctor... most likely from the fever which was because of the ears. Well, 4 days later and sleep in the single digits combined and first thing this morning we were at our doctor who said she has a "very severe case of blisters and lesions all over her gums, tongue, throat and tonsil area". They say this is totally viral.
The main concern is dehydration which the doctor says we are dangerously close to because she is in so much pain swallowing she does not want much... So, forget nutrition over the next few days... it is all about milkshakes, ice cream, whatever she wants to get something into her. Our next concern is pain management so she can sleep and eat... so, we are starting on that to help. And our last concern (still major) is how this is affecting all of her blood counts. So, off to the lab for a stat test on her blood this morning. We should have results this afternoon. We are pretty sure everything will come back just fine as most likely this is a virus that resulted in fever and all of these lesions and blisters. You can see the little white dots all over her tongue when she lets us look.
So, I ask you... are all these "fun" activities worth all this? You know us.. I am sure in a week we will be off again on our fun adventures... The classes better be REALLY FUN! :-)

Our baby boy has arrived! :-)
Yes, you heard me... Yesterday we found out that our new goldendoodle puppy was born. The litter consists of 6 boys and 3 girls... So Daddy-O finally gets a boy... even if it is a four legged furry boy!

The second day of school
Was met with some drama... It was the first day on the school bus. Miss M could not wait to be with all her friends again... she is so over me driving her now. Miss A was a little more reserved. She was nervous... but everyone was trying to make her feel better and she was ready. Miss M held her hand the whole time and on the bus they go. The bus driver said that I (who has to take pictures of EVERYTHING) could jump on and get a quick picture of Miss A on her first bus ride. I see her sobbing... crying and carrying on... She is "scared". And next thing I hear is "Mommy, please follow the bus, don't leave me"... So, I of course being the completely neurotic mother that I am follow the bus through subdivisions and all the way to school.
I go to the back where they drop off the kids and their bus was the only one there. Well, a transportation lady comes running up saying I cannot be there.. it is for buses only! Which is funny cause lots of you know that my Yukon XL could be painted yellow and look just like a bus! Anyways, she let me pull in front of the bus and I saw the kids get off... Miss A was surrounded by all our neighborhood friends. I rolled down the window and called her name. Miss M looked like she was about to die from embarrassment, but Miss A came running over and said "I love the bus, it is so fun!" So, even though I embarrassed her sister Miss A came through it without long lasting effects! :-)
Here is the "moment" in pictures
We arrive... ready for the bus!
On our way....
Here I am... neurotic mother following the bus!

The office and laundry room are done
Back to school
Yep, you read that right.... I remember the days when school never started before Labor Day... but, here in good ole HOT Arizona school started for our kids today... some schools started 2 weeks ago! Miss M was very excited. Loves her teacher and had 4-5 friends from last year in her class. Miss A was a little more reserved saying she did not want to be away from Little One and I all day... We got to school this morning and Miss A was the one who told me I could leave and it was "bye Mom!"... I went back and checked on her twice and she was playing with some friends she had made. Miss M was the one who wanted me to stay with her until the teacher walked their class inside. Little One sat in her stroller with the saddest face. She has been pointing all day to "May" and "Aub" (her new little names for them) and putting her hands in the air like where are they? It is going to be an adjustment for everyone but I really do think this is going to be a great year for both of them....
Miss A is doing a Hurray! I am a kindergartener cheer!
Miss M wanted to make sure I got a pic of the whole back to school outfit down to the flip flops!
WOO HOO! First day of school!!!!!
In front of school... Miss A is getting a bit nervous again... Miss M was awesome trying to reassure her and tell her it will all be ok.
Litte One is and was so sad to see her sisters leave... she has been pointing at their pictures around the house all day
